well...just read through the posts...to all who's suffering...hang in there k...it'll be over in a blink of an eye...(wishing... :p) aniwae..i suppose there will be some degree of bitching at diff. places ba...hmm...the biggest hiccup that i once had and were actually quite paiseh to share...i gave a sweet gal 3 multi-vitamins while she could onli take 1(the bottle say so) ... as it was the 1st time i gave vit. to kids..i was terrified as the gal + her mum left the pharmacy liaox...
worse, on the bottle says " overdose of iron containing products could cause fatal poisoning"
geez...i practically gone cold with fear and 1st thought was to rush out of the pharmacy to search for them...then...my pharmacist walked in(she comes in at 1030am while i start work at 830am) ... i told her and instead of letting me know it was alright, she asked me to look up iron poisoning in the martindale book! i was worried-sick and really frightened...it so happen that i read 27mg/kg weight for iron poisoning...i was too troubled to find out how many mg is 3 multi-vit. and could only think of the fact that i dunno how much the gal weigh...came to tink of it...it was quite funny coz i called and sms any frenz who has 4-5yr old nieces or nephews that i know of to check...i was frantic with fear that something might happen to the gal...aniwae, thank God that the gal N her mum passed by the pharmacy again and i spotted the gal and rushed to let the mum know....the mum was like "never mind (x3) its ok wan" then went off....which caused me to worry till i knock off as the mum didnt really seems to bother like that...after work...i got ms ang's hp no. from cindy(bcoz cant get to ms ang via sch no.) and were relieved abit when told the gal should be fine....nxt day...i found out that 3 multi-vit. contains 18mgx3(54mg)..the gal surely is more than 2-3kg? ya...more relieved but not fully....the gal's wellbeing was still on the back of my mind until abt 1 week later....the gal + her mum walked in the pharmacy! i was like "thank goodness she's fine".....really thank God...........
hmmm...really learnt that must confirm dosage b4 giving anything... this incident struck me..that just how little i know abt things N i could haf caused someone's death by accident if i werent careful enuff...i became more alert on wat i give from now on....hmm...yup tats it...
